Hello Sign

My Name is Denise and I am a Recovering Alcoholic/Addict.

Picture of Me

Actually, I view myself more as a "Recovering Person." My feeling is, although not always recognized, we all have a "need" to recover, or remember (self-realization). How this need manifests in each of our lives varies according to how we prefer to" compensate " (drug of choice). Nevertheless, I think the feelings are the same. This, I believe is the "Souls" way of getting our attention in communicating this need towards wholeness and self-actualization.

In this sense, I am grateful for my addictions, just as I am grateful for my handicap (legally blind). If not for my addictions, how then would I have awakened? If not for my unique type of blindness, (blind by day, legally blind by night, and unable to perceive color) how would I have found the treasures I have been blessed with.

"I wished to show that space-time
is not necessarily something to which one can ascribe
a separate existence, independently of the actual objects
of physical reality. Physical objects are not in space, but
these objects are spatially extended. In this way the
concept of "empty space loses it meaning."

~Albert Einstein~ June 9th, 1952 Note to the fifteenth edition of "Relativity"

" No Self???"

"God is my Self. That Self is the only Self there is--my Self and your Self."

"God is one, that is, only one substance can be granted in the universe."

~Spinoza~ [I.14]

"God is the indwelling and not the transient cause of all things. All things which are, are in God. Besides God there can be no substance, that is, nothing in itself external to God."

~Spinoza~[I.17]

Forest with Loves Presence Poem

In case you haven't noticed, I am a "Pantheist" My Pantheism is simply my limited conception of God IMHO, Pantheism has little to do with any "Specific" Religious Traditions. Anyone can be a Pantheist; Christians, Jews, Buddhist, Native American, Muslim and some Atheists alike can have Pantheistic intuitions.

Are we more than matter?

I Think So!

Picture of a Cow

A cow is made of quarks and electrons
Quarks and electrons are nonliving and invisible
Therefore, a cow is nonliving and invisible.

Hmmm...
